When I try to power it on I hear five long beeps and the on/off light flashes yellow. I have a HP Envy desktop computer running Windows 8.Tried - New HDMI Cable Tried - New Monitor Tried - Running 2 differant VGA Tried - New CMOS Battery Tried - New Ram Tried - Removing all non crucial parts None of this worked. It seems the 5 beeps can be caused by a few things. After 4-5 months, Gigabyte released the ATX version, i felt so upset but. They only have i think a EATX and mATX and i got the cheaper mATX for around $200 USD.

The short beeps come first then the 5 long beeps that I normally get. The 5 beeps I've been complaining about are long beeps. It has same issue on top of like 4-6 extra short beeps.Pressing the power button will start the unit with a loud GPU fan spinning fast and the system beeps 6 times (along with red led) then pause 2 seconds, then 6 beeps again. After 2 weeks of showing different QPI 932 errors on startup ( once showing both CPU 932 error, another time showing only CPU1 932 error), now the workstation won't boot. This could be as simple as you do not have the EPS 12v (4+4) plugged in at the top of the mobo, the mains (20+4) is not fully seated. Gigabyte usually uses AMI bios and 5 short beeps is a cpu error.1-1-2 would mean 1 beep, a pause, 1 beep, a pause, and 2 beeps. Phoenix ISA/MCA/EISA BIOS Beep Codes: The beep codes are represented in the number of beeps.
